For many years, it was understood that the most popular and lucrative posts on social media were those that were accompanied by a photo. For this reason, social media platforms have recently become overpopulated with images.
The more widespread this trend became, the less effective it was. New research by Socialbakers has found that “video posts, on average, have 135% greater organic reach than photo posts.” Consequently, if an individual or business is looking to grow their content reach, they should incorporate a video in their posts.
However, it is also important to note that incorporating a video will only help drive success if the video is of quality production. As with anything on most popular social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, quality content decides post success. Therefore, creating valuable content, with high quality production, will ensure optimization of posting success.
